Euro Trip

Westminster

Day One:
team in Atlanta. I think they were returning from the Olympics so that was cool. We left Atlanta around 5:30 est. It was a decent plane trip. It was really cool to see the sun rise as we arrived in London. We flew over the Atlantic and Ireland. It was really amazing. I haven't slepyt much. Maybe two hours in the past 24 hours. London is a beautoful town. And really cool. Everyone is sooo nice. I'm not sure what hotel we are staying in but it reminds me of a dorm. I like it.... Oh and my neighbors are a British volleyball team. It's pretty awesome. The are like seven feet tall. They have to bend down to go through doors. haha. Oh and Mary yes they are very cute!!! I was being a creeper and took pics just for you. Well that's about it for today. We have 4 games tomorrow. Tonight we are going to the mall. Maybe I can find some new cleats. If you want more updates on the just comment on this note and I will tag you in the next one...

Cheereo! (i think that's correct???)

P.S. Oreo's taste like straight up butt over here! :P

Day Two: Ahh today was perfect! We woke up at 7:00 which was about 1 am at home. We woke up and went to have a traditional English breakfast which was really good. It's the first meal that I've had that I have enjoyed. After breakfast we changed clothes and left for our three matches. The first team we played was Darby. We beat them 4-0. After that we played Doncaster Belles (Belles are what they call the women's leagues) We lost that game 2-0. I was surprised by how Doncaster played. I felt like they were on the same level as us when I expected them to be out standing. All well...... Our last team did not show up so Doncaster and Darby played a match. The teams were short so I got to guest play for Doncaster which was really fun. I was really happy that the weather was great. It was sunny with a cool breeze. After all the games we met with the girls and traded gear. The English teams provided lunch for us.. It was very interesting. We have turkey and jelly sandwiches. Yeahhh after the first bite I threw mine away. It wasn't too hot. Luckily there was a McDonalds down the road :D When all else fails go to McDonalds... Immediately after lunch the Duncaster coach took us to a Champion Leagues game. It was so much fun. We had front row seats to watch Darby County and the Duncaster Rovers play. It was an intense match...Duncaster won 2-1. I was happy about that!! I took pictures almost the whole game until a police officer came over and told me it was illegal. Apparently they have a copyright??? After the game we left the Stadium to head home. There were lots of buses filled with Darby fans and as we left a seven year old boy stuck his hand out the window and flipped me off. That was definitely the highlight of my day... I still have jet lag soo I slept alllllll the way to the hotel. Once at the hotel we ate dinner which again was not too great... English food is not good. Pack snacks if you ever come. After dinner I came here and gave y'all an update. Tomorrow we should be heading to a castle for a tour and then play a match @ 3. Expect more updates. I hope everything is going well in the States...

Cheers

Day Three: Ahh I finally got to sleep in today. Everything has been sooo busy. I woke up around 8:30 and went to breakfast. It was still weird with beans and mushroom. Blah. After that we left for a to tour a castle in Donchaster I believe? It was beautiful! The castle was over 800 years old. And our tour guide was hilarious!!! He made fun of women and Americans. After the castle we left for KFC because no one liked the other food. After eating lunch we left for our 3rd match. It was an intense game. Unfortunately we lost 4-2. But I had fun. It was funny because the beginning of the game it was sunny in the middle it started to hail and by the end it was sunny again. After the game we ate Dominos with the other team and talked. They are really cool. I made new friends! Ha big accomplishment. We discussed the different things. They made me do a redneck accent and the say tractor. Apparently i say it funny. We also discussed music. They aren't pleased with Hannah Montana. I had a great time meeting new people. We have one game tomorrow. Check in for more updates :)

Off to try fish and chips!

Day Four: Ahh i hurt all over. My engery is gone! Today was fun. We woke up at 10 and left for Doncaster at 11. We played our last game today at 1 and it was just as intense as the others. I had a great time but I am sooo sore. It was a college team from Doncaster. I thought we played very well together. After the game no one on the girls team really talked to us but we met the boys team. They were hilarious! Ha they were like "Where are you from!" ha we told them America but they didn't believe us at first. They made me say tomato and laughed at the way I pronouced it. Oh and I was flashed twice. One of the guys mooned us. Haha it was awkward....ha he had spiderman undies on too! We took tons of pics with them. They couldn't get over the fact that we were Americans.. After that we headed off to the mall ate dinner. Apparently there is a difference between Mexican food and Spanish food. We ate at a "Spanish" restaurant. I didn't understand the main menu so i had to order off the little ones menu. Of course I order fish n chips! It was yummy :) After the mall we left to return to the hotel and i took a shower and headed here to write to you guys. Hope everything is going well at home. We leave for London tomorrow. I'm so excited. Oh yeah and did you hear about Beckham? He's out of the World Cup. :( I'm bummed

Peace :D

Final Days: Sorry I didn't have internet the last few days but i will still tell you my updates. We toured England. I saw Big Ben, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace (the queen was there by the way), and Westminster Cathedral. The next day we left for Paris. We saw everything. Notre Dame, Eiffel tower, The Louve, and the Arc d'triumph. I swear we circled the city three times, but it was worth it. I aslo had a crepe! It was delicious! The next day we road the Lond Eye, which is the worlds largest ferris wheel. It took 30 minutes to get around. After the ride we went to she the musical Wicked. It was sooo good. I loved it. I would like to go again. Finally we got up at 4:30 on Friday to leave for the States. I was sad to leave but happy to be getting home. Pics will be uploaded soon oh and i saw robert pattinson!

Cheers :)
